Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi Sathi,
Thank you for your query,
The main stay of treatment is physiotherapy.
Physiotherapy improves the motor function by decreasing the stiffness, and to overcome the abnormal reflexes which will impair certain required movements.
If any contractures developed, surgical release will help to increase the range of movements.
Stem cell therapy is under developing stage only and it is useful in some problems and its role in children with cerebral palsy limited.
Multidisciplinary approach which attends the problems associated with cerebral palsy is important and will give good results and we can expect a favourable outcome with it, but complete cure is not possible.
Hope I have answered your query.

Pediatrician Dr. Y V Siva Sankara Murty's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.
I can understand your concern.

Developmental stimulation is important for this child. Physiotherapy helps to prevent the development of contractures. Eye and hearing evaluation by the concerned specialist helps to identify related problems.

Family support is important to over come depression related issues. Stem cell therapy is in research stage only.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
