Child Spitting Reddish Brown Saliva After Feeding. Should I Be Concerned?

I just fed my four month rice cereal mixed with formula (he is formula fed) and after about 20 minutes he spit up, but it had a very light reddish brown color to it. Should I be concerned?

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Most often that could be because of some similar colored substance that was fed to the kid.

But altered blood can appear in that color.
So Please contact your doctor for a physical examination.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
