Child Having Slightly Calloused Area In Foot, No Bleeding, Plugs Coming Out Of Holes On Injured Site. Treatment?

My daughter stepped on something and I think maybe a piece of the toy was stuck in her foot . Now she has holes on her heel where plugs have come out of her heel where the injury was. What should I do. Is this something really serious going on with her foot. There is not bleeding and it has a slight calloused lump in the area

Dear user,

She would have to be seen by a pediatric surgeon who may directly operate on her or go for some imaging tests like a CT scan to see what exactly is inside her foot and causing her so much trouble.

Taher
