Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M.Forum.
Immunoglobulins are the products of differentiated B cells and mediate the humoral arm of the immune system.
IgG 800 to 1500 mg/dl (8.0 to 15 g per liter)
IgM 45 to 150 mg/dl (o.45 to 1,5 g per liter).
No doubt the IgG has come down from 8.2 to 6.7 means less than normal.
The important thing here to keep in mind is that the level of IgM has increased.
This is the cause of concern because,
IgM
antibodies against IgG molecules are if present in high titers than may be due to
RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS,other collagen diseases, some infectious diseases.
Rheumatoid factor is important in this case so please consult immunologist and get in
blood test for R. A. Factor( Rheumatoid factor).
Also get in blood examination for E S R ( non specific but very high indicator of some infectious disease.
Hope I have answered your query.
If further any question I will be happy to answer.
Good luck for your daughter.
Dr. HET
