Child Having Continuous Lethargy, Has Excessive Sleep, Stomach And Neck Pain, No Fever. Cause?

My 5 yr old daughter is very lethargic, she has been this way for 3 days, she got sick 2 times on Fri (looked like she just spit a little fluid up,not vomit ) same thing sat and today she has 3 times. The 1st was 530a (spit up again) and then 730a same thing. She had 1/4c chicken broth and 1/2c gatorade and a few saltines. Then she wanted more gatorade and broth (same amounts) she slept 3hrs and woke up asking for a waffle and gatorade-that didnt stay down (i think she ate fast). She doesnt have diareha or a fever (at all) and she isnt complaining about anything other than a belly ache and a little pain in back of her neck (shes been sleeping onthe floor with her blankets)

Pediatrician, Surgery 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for your query
It appears that your child has developed some viral infection or gastroenteritis. It might not be very severe but it can still be. You should consult a pediatrician or a pediatric surgeon. A course of drugs for fever and vomiting should help her. There are other causes of such symptoms too, like a gastro-esophageal reflux (contents of stomach regurgitating back into her food pipe). Ask her if she has any burning while passing urine. A low grade urinary tract infection can also lead to such symptoms.
Hope that helps
God bless you
