Child Having Breathing Problem. X-ray Showed Normal. Pain In Chest. Why Is Junior Lanzol 15 Prescribed For?

i have consulted child specialist for my 9 year old male child. he has episodes of breathing problem few days back and i was prescribed chest xray which was normal. after that child reported dizziness and pain in chest. when i consulted the doctor again he has prescribed tab junior lanzol 15 for 5 days. can u please tell me what is it for.

Thanks for using the HCM. I am happy to address your questions, Lanzol junior is a proton pump inhibitor aimed at reducing the gastric acid secretion. In small children reflexes and the nervous circuits controlling these reflexes are not sufficiently mature. Sometimes this also helps clear the thick secretions in the throat which may actually be eliciting the cough causing breathing problems. It will help the acid reflux into the upper oesophagus causing chest pain and the throat that could be precipitating the cough. Hope I have answered your query.
