Child Have Red And Blotchy Face. Had Medication For Thread Worm Earlier. Can Vermox Worming Treatment Be The Cause?

my 3 year old recently took medication for thread worm which had occurred in his older sister. i noticed soon after that his face was quite blotchy but subsided. since then (for the past week) his face becomes red and blotchy on contact. he does not have a fever and is otherwise in good health. Could this be a reaction to the vermox worming treatment.

Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Usually drug rash immediately associated with the intake of drug and it subsides once the drug is eliminated from the body.

It seems it is looking like some allergic rash on face.

But physical examination is needed to know the type of skin rash.

If it is due to allergic rash oral antihistamines and local application of calamine will help.

I advise you to consult the doctor for examination and its treatment.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
