Child Have High Fever, Pain In Mouth And Problem Eating. The Tongue Is Pale White In Color. What Should Be Done Now?
My 5 year old has high fever (b/w 100 & went upto 103.6)from past two days and was complaining for some pain In mouth and couldn't eat food. Today I checked his mouth and on left side of his tongue has big mouth infection. It's pale white in color. Not sure if this is causing fever. What should I do? I've been giving ibruphen for fever. Is there anything I can give for mouth infection which is available over the counter? I can send pics of mouth infection. Please help! Thanks in advance for help.

The white pale color thing in mouth could be an aphthous ulcer.
For fever, you can give ibuprofen in prescribed dose.
Give him soft bland diet and plenty of oral fluids.
Consult the pediatrician for examination.

In viral fever it happens that some ulcers appear in the mouth as these ulcers are viral ulcers, they are self limiting means heal as the viral infection will go off. so please do not take tension.
But please visit a child specialist for fever and please do not prescribe any medication on your own.
