Child Has Vitiligo. On Steroid Therapy. Why Is Effectivity Slower In Genitals? Suggest Medication
my daughter who is only 5 years old is suffering from vitiligo from 2nd week of feb this year. Now she is on steriod therapy (sat n sun) with picon 30 and Execare cream. She has white patches on both side of her eyes(just above her eyes) , two patches on her trunk and one next to her private part. After administering decort tab, no more new patches appear. pathches above her right eyes are totally disappeared after two months of treatment and one on the left also becoming smaller in size, may i know it wiil re occur afterwards or not? what are the precautions for reccurance? And the effectiveness of the treatment is slower for the trunk and patches next to private part , what should we have to do for this? will it reappear when we stop this medication? Let me know the side affect of Decort 6 and how long should we have to use?

Vitiligo of genital area is difficult to treat.
pigmentation will occur but will take time.
steroids have a huge list of side effect.
most important is supression of adrenals.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact duration of dosage.
