Child Has Red Spots On Back, Chest, Stomach & Upper Arms. Sibling Had Chicken Pox. Doesn't Look Like Chicken Pox. Suggestions?

My 14 month old has red spots all over her back, chest, stomach and upper arms. They started coming out fairly quickly on Saturday. I thought it was chicken pox as my 2 year old had it 3 weeks ago and they both go to the same nursery, but now I'm not so sure. These spots seem to start to disappear off her chest and stomach but she still has them on her back and arms and they look like early stage of chicken pox but it doesn't seem to be going through the stages that the spots usually go through. She seems generally well within herself, but was very irritable last week, with a runny nose and a bit of a temperature and some loose nappies, This week she seems ok except for the spots. Please can you help. thanks

Hello
Thanks for visiting Healthcaremagic
The contagious viral infection of chickenpox usually presents with various stages of morphology like papules, vesicles, pustules and scabs. The entire duration also varies. The rashes started at trunk .back and spread outwards to the extremities. LIke wise it spades away from in that order. AFTER end of the stage some children develop complications like enteritis, pneumonia and encephalitis.
