Hi,

Thank you for your query.

Irregular heart beats can be of a number of varieties and needs to be investigated. Most of them can be controlled by drugs but some can be critical. Your grandson needs to be evaluated both clinically and then by various investigations to know the exact cause. It should not be taken lightly whether he has an insurance or not.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your grandson all the best.

Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Irregular heart beat is due to underlying heart rhythm abnormalities known as arrhythmias.

This problem can be detected by doing electrocardiogram (ECG) and Holter monitoring.

The common abnormality is supraventricular tachycardia which will present as palpitations, chest tightness, and features of heart failure.

This has to be diagnosed and identified so that definitive treatment can be planned.

I advise you to consult emergency for further management.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
