Child Had Vomiting, Stomach Ache. Done CT Scan. What Is The Problem?
my 5 yr old son had vomiting and stomach ache.he was diagnosed with mesentric lymphnodes on 19/9/2012..for which he got hospitalised too... later after 10 days, he showed again the same symptoms. again we took him to doctors, this time, they said it was viral gastritis ..took ct scan too..everything was ok...but his vomiting and stomach ache has not cured..now after more than one month, he is still vomiting and complains of severe head spinning and ache while vomiting...what can be his problem
Dear sindhu2202 Children get mesenteric lymphadenitis (Inflamation of mesenteric glands)
when they get sore throat/ear infection. If the infection affect the internal ear or labyrinth
the child will vomit and also gets dizzy spells. Mesenteric glands may remain painful for some time.
I think that is the problem. Stomach ache will settle down slowly. I think in the mean time
give him extra fluid to keep hydration and paracetamol syrup(5mgm/5ml) 2.5mls three times daily.
Please take him to Paeditrician to check his ears and throat. kindest regards Dr S.K.Mukherjee
