Child Feels Sick, Fishy Smelling Stools, Slimy. Should I Be Worried?
Hi...do i need to be concerned about my 3 yr old son. He tells me 3 or 4 times aday he feels sick,usually followed by him having a mad dash for a poo.A few times he has actually been sick.(more than the average child).When he feels sick & goes to poo its usually fishy smelling&runny/sometimes slimy.He poops about 3 times a day even when hes having a normal day.Hes my 4th child so im not a novice at childrens toilet habits.Iv tried keeping a check on what he eats&there dosnt seem to be any triggers,just anything&everything.Should i be very worried? Thankyou.

Your child has Gastroenteritis due to some contamination with microorganisms.
Give sips of oral rehydradrating solutions to prevent dehydration.
Antibiotic may be required to eradicate the infection so consult your Pediatrician for further management/

Your child is having enteritis which can be viral or bacterial in nature,
I advise you to get him evaluated by a pediatrician as he needs stool examination and he may need a course of antibiotics.
In the mean time give him lactobaccilus sachet for 2 to 3 days.give plenty of fluids,coconut water,curd,banana,boiled potato,
