Child Complaining Ear Pain. Swimmer's Ear In The Past. Does Any Medication Mentioned Help Overnight?

My 14 year old daughter is complaining of ear pain. She has been swimming a lot lately and has had problems with swimmer's ear in the past. She believes the symptoms are the same as before. We've been prescribed medication for this problem in the past, but I'm not sure what the name of the medication was? I've found Neomycin and polymyxin B sulfates and hydrocortisone otic 1% suspension and Anitpyrine & benzocaine otic solution in our medicine cabinet; could either of these be used overnight to help the symtoms until I can call our doctor in the morning.

hi, i feel it is a otitis externa which is caused by the fungal infection, because of moisture and warm temperature in that area. frequently it follows the secondary infection and it leads to pain, swelling and discharge sometimes. the both the ear drops are very useful, one is antibiotic with antifungal, and another one is for pain. but see your ENT specialist if there is a need for systemic antibiotics in this case. all the best.
