Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Viral upper respiratory tract infections are one of the more common causes of an acute asthmatic attack.
The coughing may be due to the effect of the cold itself or acute asthmatic episode.

If she is wheezing she may need to see her doctor for assessment. In that case, the nebs would need to be more frequently and she may need prednisolone.

In the absence of any wheezing, then the use of the cough syrup would be appropriate. She would also need medication to help with the fever such as paracetamol.

I hope this helps
