Child. Stuffy Nose, Crancky Due To Teething. Accidental Licking Of Dettol Surface Container. Serious?

My nearly two year old has licked the dettol surface container while i have been cleaning, i think i grabbed it straight after he put it to his mouth but not sure as i was cleaning, he already has a stuffy nose and is having trouble breathing and isnt himself cause of this teeth coming though as well..he seems ok but should i get him to hospital

I am sorry to hear about what happened to your son.

Licking the surface of a dettol container, unless it got spilled and was all over it should not constitute a major problem.

Children are always too adventurous. Keep all dangerous things OUT OF THEIR REACH. Don't forget he could have done anything with the container including drinking its entire content before your arrival. So, please, always try to keep them in safe environments and watch after them closely.

For now, i suggest you observe him closely and report any changes. If you should notice any changes that were never there before, please report to your doctor.
