Child. Pus Filled, Painful Pimple Like Lump With Crusty Scale Over On Scalp, Stomach Pain, Pale And Headache. Has A Free Roaming Dog, Lives In Wooded Area. Tick Bite?

My 6 year old grandson has a pus filled bump on his scalp that resembles a pimple. He says it hurts. I noticed it 3 weeks ago and it's slowly now going down but it looks like a crusty scale over it. He lives in a wooded area and has a dog that roams free, could this be a tick bite and now that its going to the scab stage is it more dangerous? Last week he started saying his stomach hurts, he's pale, and had a headache yesterday. Mom doesn't believe it's a bite but a pimple. Is there a test to check?

It is looking like a pustule or a pyoderma skin lesion which is a bacterial skin infection.

Test is not useful in this situation.

But physical examination by a doctor is important to know the skin condition.

Paleness may be due to anemia.

Oral and topical antibiotic will cure the condition.

Therefore I advise you to consult the doctor for physical examination and treatment.
