Child. Ant Bite And Swelling In Tip Of Penis, No Urination. Guide

today almost at 5 pm i was in th park with my two and 1/2 year old son,suddenly he shouted and told me that something is there in his pant.i open his pant and found two tiny ants one was biting his tip of the penis,i removed
it with my hands.but after a few minutes i saw the penis tip is start swelling,i applied some ice there to stop the swelling and thought it will be all right soon.but it is 2;pm now but there is no improvement, rather it has swells more,like a big pea in the penis front,and he has also not urinate from that time
pls advise what to do now....................

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

You have done the right thing by applying ice over the swelling which is going to prevent further swelling. Swelling following insect bite increases in the first 24 hours and starts to subside thereafter. You may add some antihistamine to reduce itching. Make your son drink plenty of liquids and he shall pass urine. The swelling shall not prevent passing of urine.
