You should also go for chest x ray
to rule out lower respiratory tract pathology.
Meanwhile, you should take muscle relaxants along with analgesics for relief of your symptoms.
You should also take cough
suppressants, decongestants, and complete antibiotics course.
Perform gargles three times in a day; a glass of lukewarm water with a pinch of salt.
