Chest Pain, Indigestion, Heartburn. Had An Xray. Is It A Random Anomaly?

for the last few months I've had random chest pains my doctor has passed off as indigestion or heartburn and recently went to hospital with severe chest pains after ingesting a pot cookie, I had an x-ray done which had some shadows on it which I will be getting re x-rayd soon as they believe it might just be a random anomoly. I still have a weird feeling in my chest 1 week on and I am wondering should I be worried.

Hi,
Thanks for your query.
your symptoms suggest a simple problem called GERD or acid reflux disorder. It will be effectively cured by taking acid decreasing drugs like omeprazole.
Anomaly on chest x-ray may be an incidental finding. Symptoms can be attributed to it, like if it is esophageal cyst.
I think going for a CT chest is a better option for looking for anomaly and clarifying its extent, invasion, size, boundaries etc....

Best wishes
