Hi,
The signs you have suggest Gastritis/gastric regurgitation. It is due to irritation of stmoach/oesophgeal inner lining. to
produce the heart burn. the associated indigestion proucing excesseive gas -giving rise to pain on both sides of & middle of abdomen.
You need to -
* -have non spicy, light food,in small but more frequent servings.
-no tea/coffee/hot drinks/smoaking/or fastng.
-freeze cold milk -half cup every 2 hrs will help.
* you need to remain tension free, positive & calmposed.
* -in such cases antacids containing(Alluminium hydroxide, mag. hydroxide,
with activated diamethicone) is given in gel or tab form -2 tabs/spoons thrice a day to be sucked before food.
, Ranitidine containing tab.150 mg twice a day would help in healing.

-Digestive tinic may help.
*A physician's advice will be helpful in getting evaluation after examination&proper prescribtion.
thank you.

Hi Janelle thanks for your question.
You are having heart burns along with pain in chest both sides.Heartburns itself can give rise pain in both sides of chest. Most probably your basic problems is heart burns and heart burns are due to increased acid output in stomach due to many reasons. The most common being the spicy food, cigrette smoking, alcohol and infection by a bacteria called as H Pylori.I would suggests you to consult a physician who may be able to examine you and may perform upper G I endoscopy on you to determine the cause of heartburns.Chest X Ray and ECG is also advisible to rule out any cause of this pain in your heart or lungs.
Hope this answers your question..

Hi Janelle, thanks for using HCM.

Get done one endoscopy, hemogram and chest xray to visualize the problem.

It may be musculoskeletal pain or GERD. For musculoskeletal ther may be pain with movements of muscle, take NSAID for it and rest.
For GERD take food at multiple intervals (atleast every 3 hour once), food rich in fibre like green leafy vegitables will be good. Have adequate regular sleep with head end raised, plenty of fluids with nutritious fibre diet with required calorie, half an hour walk before going to bed and regular outdoor exercises. Avoid coffee and tea. Take proton pump inhibitor like pantoprazole continuously for 15 days to a month.
If H Pylori she can take HP kit for management. Get back with the reports for further management.

Hope I answered your question. Consult your doctor for further management.
Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take care.

Regards
Dr. Lohit K
