Hi, Rahul. You are having chelitis. There are many causes. Sunrays, riboflavin deficiency, vitamin B12 deficiency, anaemia, certain drugs like retinol, excessive contact with saliva , allergy by lip balm ,toothpaste ,lipsticks or other cosmetics.. You contact competent dermatologist. Undergo investigative procedures to find out some cause and take treatment accordingly. Do not salivate your lips. keep your lips covered under sun and exposure to wind.Avoid stress and be positive. You will definitely get rid of chelitis... Ok

Dermatologist Dr. Kalpana Pathak's  Response
Hi Rahul,
Thanks for writing to us.
You seem to be suffering from cheilitis. This could be due to frequent licking of lips, dry weather, sun damage induced(actinic), nutritional deficiency etc.
To treat the same, use a lip balm with sun protection factor like blistex or neutrogena multiple times in a day. Apply steroid antibiotic cream twice in a day( momoz f cream) till lips becomes normal and then discontinue use. Also take a good nutritious diet and adequate hydration. Avoid licking and peeling dry skin of lips. Avoid smoking too.
Hope that would solve your concern. Take care
