Cause Of Rash, Swelling On Hands And Face, Headache After Medication For Crohn's Disease?

sir,
My son, aged 17 yrs old. he is on following drugs,
1. Pentasa - 2 grms sachets - daily
2. Predimet - 32 mg. - daily and
3. VSL#3 1 capsule - daily,
Now he developing pink rash and swelling on hands, legs and on face, vomiting sensation and headache.
you please give your valuble suggestions and guidance. whether the drugs are suitable or not.

Hi,

The symptoms your son is experiencing are indicating a possible allergic reaction.

Although he is taking Predimet (steroid supposed to reduce the allergic symptoms), he is still developing it.

I suggest to take off Pentasa and VSL#3 and continue taking predimet until you see the doctor.
