Cause For Baby To Pass Watery Stool?

Hi, Baby is 7 months old. He has started passing watery stools from last 3-4 days. The frequency is 6-7 times. We showed to specialist as well, he said to stop calcifit tonic which he had suggested n advised to give Rinifol Z 3 times a day (2.5ml each time). He has advised to give coconut water, Curd, lemonade, rice, mashed banana, apple puree..Please help and also let me know if Rinifol Z is advisable to give to 7mnths old baby boy. Thanks

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

"Rinifol" is folic acid and it can only be given where it is indicative. As long as diarrhea is concerned, the underlying cause of it would be matter of concern. But in pediatric age group, it the only matter of concern is hydration and that needs to be taken care. Without strong and clinical indication "Rinifol" should be avoided.
