Can you trick your opiate receptors while on methadone withdrawal using Kratom to relieve the bone pain and make the detox more "manageable" ? I know methadone floods the parts of your brain that "true" opiates would inhibit.... Hence the Kratom would also alleviate those symptoms until the methadone is out of your body and if done short term your body wouldn't build a tolerance to the Kratom and when you stopped using it would just let you deal with Post Acute Withdrawal (PAWS) and skip the physical altogether (SLEEP MOST IMPORTANTLY) and then take 1-2yrs to let your brain repair the neural pathways. I'm on day 6 now of a Fast taper from 75mgs clean off methadone just using the bare minimum of Kratom to let me sleep. I noticed I don't need the Gabapentin as much as I thought (However without Kratom it's a godsend for RLS) since the Kratom doses. PLEASE UNDERSTAND I'M NOT A FORMER HEROIN USER ... HAD BACK INJURY AND EVENTUALLY PILLS HAD NO EFFECT SO IT BECAME JUST MANAGING WITHDRAWAL. I have done many months of research and feel this is my BEST OPTION AT BEING SOBER AGAIN! I know it's the lesser of 2 evils but, I WILL NOT STAY CHAINED TO A TINY CUP OF LIQUID THAT HAS RUINED MY LIFE! There are MANY success stories with KRATOM helping addicts off the pharmaceutical companies that SURVIVE OFF OUR MISERY! Yes doctors...that includes you as well, when you trash a plant that helps people get their lives back because it's not FDA APPROVED!!! But, if it's being SOLD BY BIG BROTHER THEN YOIR ALL FOR IT!!! KEEP US ON METHADONE AND SUCKING THE LIFE OIT OF US FOREVER... As long as BIG BROTHER GETS PAID ...... WELL THEN SO DO YOU RIGHT?! For once treat the condition not the patient... that oath remember? Try and act like a HUMAN BEING AND NOT JUDGEMEMTAL A$$3$ .... Done & Done!
