Can Withdrawal From Cerazette Cause Mood Swing?
i have recently stopped taking cerazette i am also on mirtazipan the last couple of weeks ive been a total nightmare terrible mood swings crying all the time would these mood swings be anything to do with comming off cerazette i cant cope with theses terrible mood swings neither can my kids :(

Hi,
Cerazette is desogestrel , a hormonal contraceptive pill.
Since it can cause hormonal alteraions, it can therefore cause mood changes and depressed mood.
Also sudden stoppage can again alter the hormonal levels and cause mood sings.
Kindly consult you gynaecologist regarding the mood swings.
