Can Vyvanse Cause Reduction In Urination?

I took Vyvanse for a few months and then stopped, I had lost my prescription and couldn t get a refill. I had noticed that while on Vyvanse, I was not urinating as much as usual and was prone to constipation. About 2 or 3 weeks after stopping Vyvanse, I was suddenly urinating as I had before. I had a few days where I couldn t believe how much I was going. I am 56 yr old female and concerned about this, possible effects on my health. The Vyvanse didn t seem to work for my ADD anyway. My Dr. has been reluctant to try other things. I was on Adderall before the Vyvanse and it did not seem to help with ADD either. I had bad racing thoughts with Adderall and stopped taking it.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, Vyvanse has side effects, which you are experiencing. For your ADD condition, if you are stable enough without medicine, then you can hold on.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Diwashish Biswas, Internal Medicine Specialist
