You have been through a lot of stress in life and the meth dependence just made it worse. It can cause psychotic symptoms an abnormal behavior. In addition, it can also worsen pre-existing mental illness. Whether your symptoms are due to meth only or due to bipolar disorder can be clarified after taking a detailed history. If the symptoms were meth related, they would be present only in periods of heavy meth use and absent in periods of abstinence. Symptoms of bipolar disorder, if not related to meth, would be present irrespective of meth use.
Hope this helps you. Best wishes.
