Can Tryptomer 10 Mg Be Used For Depression?
my doc has advised me to take tryptomer 10 mg as im usually depressd n cant concentrate on ma studies.i hav ma board exams cumin up next month.i read dt takin dis tablet causes drowsiness n headache.which is the last thing i need as im already sleepy n tired after school.
plz tell me its side effects.n whether or not i shud take it.

Yes sedation is a usual sideeffect of tryptomer or amitryptiline.but your dose is very less. Other side effects are constipation , dry mouth,hypotension. But these also occur ata high dose.
better option for you keeping in view of your exams in future SSRI drugs like escitalopram should be prescribed. But first we need to confirm whether you are really depressed or not.
