Can Travelling Be Possible With The Medication For Pneumonia?

My partner is currently in hospital, having been diagnosed with severe pneumonia & admitted on Thursday last week. He is on iv antibiotics & pain relief. We are due to travel on holiday to turkey in 12 days time: is there a likelihood that my partner will be advised not to fly?

Hello
Infection in the lung ( any type of bacteria or virus which develops consolidation causes pneumonia ) . Usually the complete course of pneumonia is 2-4 weeks , however it depends upon the nature of causative organism and severity of infection and duration of course.
Since your partner is responding the treatment very well so need not to worry as lung may have expanded in this period .
When lung dilated completely so no need to bother and your partner can travel . But take care and if possible avoid iced items . 2nd thing take oral antibiotic along travel
