Can Topical Antibiotic Be Used On A Boil On The Scrotal Sac?

I have a non-painful boil on my right scrotal sac. I was having an allergic reaction to something the other day and a boil appeared on the right side of my face next to my nose. After 4 days it disappeared, but then this 2.5 boil appeared on the right side of my testicle. Can I use an over the counter topical antibiotic?

Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcoe to HCM.
As an Urologist, i wouldn't advise you to use a topical antibiotic.
The boil won't disappear by applying an antibiotic. It's most advisable to consult a doctor and get the boil examined. Keep the area clean always.
Avoid the feeling to itch. If it ruptures,it's going to get infected.
Get your blood routine and sugar checked, and show the report to the doctor.Wish you a quick recovery.
If you want my expert opinion, you may send your doubt as a direct question.
