Can The Kidneys With End-stage Renal Disease Revert To Normal Functioning?

I am a dialysis patient with end stage renal disease. I give daily urine output of about 2 cups. I found out almost a year ago that my hemoglobin count has been extremely high for a dialysis patient ( 16). I have been seeing a doctor that specializes with blood disorders for a year and he could not find any underlying cause for this. He said the count is perfect for a normal person, but extremely high for a dialysis patient. Recently, my renal doctor has advised me to see a radiologist to perform an ultrasound on my kidneys. My question to you is, are my kidneys starting to perform again?
