Can Taking Less Amount Of Oxycodone Than The Prescribed Dosage Cause Any Side Effects?
I have been taking oxycodone 5 mg for several years. 1.5 per day as I have had multiple knee surgeries including knee replacement an unsuccessful knee replacement because of infection. I am on a pain plan with my doctor. I cannot take one whole one because of nausea. Am I safe in doing this?

If your question is whether you can take half of the tablet, or take less than what you are prescribed, the answer would be that that should not be a problem. Taking less of an opiate medication such as oxycodone may cause an increase in your pain level, but should not cause any problems with withdrawal or any other side effects.
