Good Morning Sir,I am a diabetic patient for the past 4 years and I have been using GlimiSave M2Forte and TAH 80 for my BP. Recently I approached my doctor with my blood reports and he asked me to take another medicine apart from the regular medicines. That is VOGO 0.3 he added and that should be taken after dinner. What is your opinion on that? Kindly let me know about it.
Hello there, Diabetes is chronic disease and with time the control may be lost due to various reasons. You are on Glimisave M2 forte now. It would have helped to know how many times a day. However is your blood sugar still out of control mainly after meals? Vogo 0.3 contains a medicine called Voglibose which mainly controls post meal blood sugars by not allowing our body to absorb carbohydrates from a meal. This will work if you take a lot of complex carbohydrates in your diet. Usually we advise patients to take this medicine just before food or with the first morsel of food. I think that this drug will benefit you if your post meal sugars are out of control due to poor dietary restrictions. It is quite a safe drug to use but has a few side effects like may cause bloating of stomach, loose stools in some patients. Hope this helps. Take care.
