Can Stress Lead To Heart Attacks?

I was dealing with a lot of stress at a point in my life. I was diagnosed with angina. ECGs or EKGs say I had myocardinal infarction (sp?), but other test do not reveal heart damage. I don t have high cholesterol or plaque in my arteries. I guess I m wondering if stress can cause a heart attack. I still have angina, but I ve learned to manage the stress.

Hello,

Stress may cause tightness in the chest or stress may lead to myocardial infarction also.

To reduce the stress do regular exercise and yoga. Use anxiolytic medication if necessary.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
