Can Stimulants Relieve Tiredness?

I didn’t sleep last night and I feel in better health today than I normally do. This is unusual because I am an overweight, unhealthy eater who drinks every weekend. I wasn’t trying not to sleep, I just couldn’t fall asleep. Ordinarily I’m always tired and sluggish. I take vitamin supplements on the only stimulant in my diet is coca cola. Why am I not tired today?

Dear HCM User

Sometimes sleep deprivation improves mood and energy levels, though in long term it does harm the body and mind. That's why it is also used in treatment of depression. But I am concerned about the other facts that you have revealed like being overweight, unhealthy eater, drinking habbits. I strongly advice you some lifestyle modfication to lead a healthy and better life. Start eating a balanced diet. You need not avoid all your guilty pleasures but may just reduce them in moderation and include healthy elements in your diet. start excercising for atleast 30 minutes, 5 times a week. You can start with brisk walking presently.Sleep adequately and practice relaxation. With these simple routines you will feel energetic and fresh everyday without any stimulants. :-)
