I have resisted taking statins for about 5 years. My doctor wants me to take a statin for high cholesterol. I seem to not want to take it due to this Rosuvastatin calls itself calcium tablets. I do not need calcium....I do need magnesium to keep from having leg cramps. I take Ziac for high blood pressure and an aspirin a day to help with blood flow. I have pretty much severe osteo-arthritis and two bad knees, but I am still active, but cannot walk a lot, but do have lots of stairs in my house of 26 years. I am able to do stairs, but all my joints are mostly swollen. I do not believe that statins will help me to have a better life style. I have had my gallbladder taken out and worry about liver damage from statins or Advil ect.
