Can Sports Induces Asthma?

Hi, this doesnt happen very often, generally only if i push myself hard in training, such as interval training where i often push to the max for a minute or so before returning to a more regular pace etc...

However, i have found in martial arts and when pushing myself in training, that often at the point where i am heavily exerting myself that it feels like my throat is tightening/closing up and it becomes difficult to breath and really have to work very hard to suck in air...

I dont think my chest feels tight, as im still able to take deep breaths and fill my lungs, it's just like im trying to breathe through a straw or something as it's incredibly hard to draw breath...

As mentioned it's not all the time or after normal exercise, only if i push myself say to about 80% of maximum or above, but it has worried me in the past as it does feel as if my throat is about to just close off...?

Is this possibly sports induced asthma, and is there anything i can do about it?

Hi, I got your problem.sports related activity can triggers asthma episode to who is already having bronchial asthma.any extra physical exercise tend to increase our tissue oxygen demand and will lead to increase pulse rate, respiratory rate, shallow and fast breathing with occasional chest tightness. Your problem is just above normal limit but cannot say abnormal.so u should not worry about this.u can check your blood haemoglobin.
