Hi doctor. Firtsly i would like to say thank you for having this forum. You help is making this world a better place to stay in. Here is my situation. Recently, i had sex with a CSW. Durng the intercourse, i had a condom breakage. She heard the popping sound and ask me to take it out immediately. Could say i was not protected for 15 seconds. We then put on a new condom and continue. After, i began to feel very guilty + very scared due to the condom breakage and that is when anxiety took places. I have been looking for hiv symptom ever since. Here is what i suffer from on day 14. I began having a sore throat, and then a very high fever.(My sister was also having high fever and bad sore throat before i have it) the fever Lasted the whole day and was treated at the hospital with IV and ibuprofen. Blood work was done and everything came out fine only that my WBC count is very high at 14.7(Bacterial infecrion). And my CRP value is also very much elevated at 96.9. Day 15 fever no longer persist only the sore throat which my doctor say is tonsillitis.( i had a history of tonsilitis). I understand i do have risk from that encounter, but can you please tell me if it is a high or low risk? Is my fever and tonsillitis happening because i am seroconverting? Would my wbc count be high or low if i am seroconverting. I really hope to get a reply from you soon doctor. Thank you very much in advance.
