Can Soft Tissue Injury Cause Knee Pain?

I fell down the stairs and twisted my left leg at the hip and knee. I now have pain on the right hand side of my knee when I bend it . I can walk if my knee is straight this includes going up and down the stairs. Do I need to see someone or is it just a soft tissue injury

Hi,

A soft tissue injury can cause a knee pain. This can also happen due to a minor capsular inflammation or decreased joint lubricants.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Praveen Tayal, Orthopaedic Surgeon
