Can Smoking Marijuana Cause Thyroid Cancer?

my friend was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer after having skin cancer that supposedly went away. I told her to stop smoking and she agreed but she claims that it is okay to smoke marijuana and that it will have no affects on her thyroid cancer. Is this true?

Cancer. There are a few ways in which cannabis can benefit people with cancer.

First of all, the main bioactive cannabinoid Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol has been approved for treatment of cancer chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (5). Cannabinoids may also be beneficial in treating cancer-related pain (5).
