Can Sinus Infection Cause Headache And Sore Neck?

I have had a headache, off and on for a couple of days. I also have a very sore neck, that causes a sharp pain when I turn my head in certain ways. I also keep getting a weird chemical smell a couple times a day. Could these symptoms be caused by a sinus infection?

Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
The symptoms could be caused by a sinus infection even though your description of symptoms does not favor it or may be caused by any other upper respiratory infection. Most of these infections are of viral origin and may need only symptomatic treatment.Bacteria infection is also possible. It could also be caused by environmental irritants or allergy.I will advise you take an anti-histamine like premalan, a pain medication like paracetamol, gargle with salt water many times per day, avoid cold, avoid smoke and dust. You may see a Doctor if symptoms persist.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
