Can Shoulder Pain Be A Result Of Undergoing Surgery Years Back?

I had surgery 2 summers ago in replacing my aortic arch. I have a nice scar under my left shoulder blade and have had pain now and then, but today, right now, I ve never felt pain like this and it is a stabbing sensation. Is that scar tissue and why won t it leave me alone??

Hi, Welcome to healthcaremagic. After going through your query I concluded that you are having shoulder pain, it is likely that it's not due to your old surgery for aorta. It may be muscular pain. You need to get your MRI done to further investigate it.Treatment of it is analgesic such as ibuprofen. Rest is essential. Vitamin B and C help in recovery. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
