Can Shingles Cause Pain In The Upper Back?
I had shingles on my left arm on August 1st. Is there any way you can have pain in your upper back from having had the shingles, or would it indicate bone spurs or spinal problems instead? I have had a diskectomy at C5/6 cervical spine. Can these nerves be disrupted due to shingles?

Hello,
Shingles may cause postherpetic neuralgia which may cause severe radicular pain.
Cervical spondylosis with compressive neuropathy may also lead to radiculopathy pain due to nerve compression. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Use capsule pregabalin 75 mg once daily for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
