Urologist 's  Response
Sciatica does not cause blood in urine.
Blood in urine can be due to numerous causes. It can be stone disease, malignancy, infection, tuberculosis, renal diseases, etc.
But with history of low backache with hematuria, my first diagnosis will be prostate cancer, unless u have a known etiology for backache. So get Prostate check up done with Digital Rectal Examination, Sr PSA, Ultrasound KUB, and Prostate biopsy if required based on DRE and PSA.
Besides ultrasound KUB,also get urine for Cytology done to rule out malignant cells. Cystourehtroscopy may be required based on findings of above test.
