Hi, Primolut N contains norethisterone which is used in the treatment of various menstrual problems like irregular, painful or heavy periods, premenstrual syndrome or PMS, endometriosis etc. It only contains progesterone called norethisterone. It is very safe and effective medication for long term use if it is taken as directed by your doctor. But, like other medications it has some harmful or side effects such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal bloating, indigestion, stomach pain, GIT upset, easily bruising or bleeding, changes in sleep pattern, dryness of mouth, changes in body weight, headache, sweating, fatigue, changes in appetite, usual tiredness and weakness, vaginal bleeding, vaginal discharge, breast tenderness and enlargement, changes in sexual drive, mood swings, depression, allergic reactions etc. If you suffer from such type of side effects for long or bother you, then you should consult your doctor first for medical help.
