Can Piercing The Belly Button Cause Dizziness?

Hi, I have a quick question about nerves around belly button. My friend got it pierced recently. For some reasons it got removed and now that she is trying to put it back, she feels kind of dizzy when trying to push the ring back in place. Also, she had fainted the first time she got it pierced. I was wondering if there are certain nerves around belly button that might get triggered and make her dizzy like this. Thanks!

Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM .
Read and reviewed your query and health concerns.
Your Gf- seems to suffer from-VaoVagal Shock syndrome-which caused all these complaints with your Girl freind.
In some individuals the pain bearing threshold is low/ or the fear psychosis with the piercing act makes one more prone to reduced pain bearing capacity. In such individuals further act of piercing needs to be done under medical cover and facility. If not done- She may get further complicatoins from Shock Syndrome- from the over reactive Vagal stimulation-with severe bradycardia, causing Syncope or diziness or fainting attacks in her.

So you need to Consult General Surgeon,to avoid further complications.
Who would prime her with protective injection-Inj-Atropine and do the piercing process with all due aseptic precautions.Hope this would help you to plan further care of this complex illness of yours.
