His previous doc strictly told to continue the painless type. But my inlaws are insisting me to give him the painful one. What should i do??can i go for painful type for his 14week immunisation??

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

You have not mentioned reason to continue painless vaccine strictly because apart from reduction of minor and major adverse effects with painless vaccines , precautions and contraindications of both are same . If there are no specific contraindications normal (painful) vaccine can be given but chances for fever and pain are more , for which you can use paracetamol . In my practice I routinely use DTwP (painful ) vaccine .

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Take care .
