Can Pain In The Back Of The Head By The Neck Be A Symptom Of Aneurysm?
I keep waking up in the middle of the night with pain in one spot in the very back of my head by my neck. After this I feel almost like a rush of blood go over that one spot and the pain is gone. What is this I m really worried this could be a symptom of a brain aneurysm
Brain aneurysm will not pause a particular point headache, rather than diffuse, throbbing with cluster sensation, high blood pressure, other sensorineural changes as per the underlying area involved would be present. Yours pain seems to be acute ligament sprain with anxiety manifestations , still a physician consultation is recommended to measure the vital parameters.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
