Can Ovarian Cysts Be The Cause Of Cramps In Lower Stomach And Bleeding In Stool?

Diagnosed with 5.5cm cyst on left ovary 2 weeks ago. Have been in constant pain. Today have bloody mucus and stool along with sharper pain in lower stomach and cramping up higher. I have a follow-up with obgyn tomorrow. Should I wait for my appointment or go back to er?

Hi,

A 5.5 cms cyst in left ovary can cause mild cramps but not bleeding and mucus in stool. You can wait for the appointment but need to get treated for possible bowel infection immediately from your local doctor.
